Soren and Benito - Kid Delf Cherry and Soom Bonin

I've been meaning to bring these two on here. I've had the little one for a while and he's been cosplaying a game character because I really wasn't sure what to do with him.

Then I got the other guy and he was a little awk-weird at first, seeming a little negative and standoffish when he came in, what with the look on his face.

Immediately though, with a way only doll collectors can understand, little one gravitated to him. He sat with him, curled up in his lap, and stopped sitting with the doll he had been sitting with to be with new guy.

After a little playing with outfits, I got some names and found myself writing about them in my NaNo. It seems they are called Benito and Soren.

(Benito = Blessed, and Soren = Stern, Severe)

It sort of works, considering how severe and emotionless he is and how his character is just flat and straightforward. Benito is...a toddler who doesn't say much and loves food. All food. Mostly stews and sweets because they're messy.

So, here's some pictures. All I've figured so far from the book is they're some sort of Nephil experiments based on tests Carmine has done for the Queen's army (he's older in the second book) and they're being altered from orphans in secret as wards of the state.

Soren felt sorry for what Benito was going through, having gone through it himself, and escaped with the toddler with the intent to find and kill Captain Carmine for what he had created.

Benito loves Oreo cookies. I just love him sitting there all cute and kicky.

Soren and Benito love each other very much. They're like brothers, only closer.

Don't forget the angel part. :3

I love Soren's face in this one. He's going to protect Beni no matter what.

Marcus Alexei...are you being naughty?

I'm currently swapping out outfits and I needed black shoes. There is a severe lack of black shoes around here in Hybrid Hollow.

Well, I went searching and found the ones I had on Marcus, who had been wearing them for pretty much ever and ever. They looked so good on them, but he was in a white outfit so pretty much anything could go with him. I went to take them off and noticed something was terribly, terribly wrong.

(This happens when you rub and rub and rub and scratch hard.)

There was no reason for it to look like this. The last time I had Marcus out had been a few months ago and he had been fine. Nothing was wrong with his shoes and there were no scuffs. Now both of them had scuffs and rubs and were falling apart. I looked for bugs and tried to figure out why they were this way, but there isn't a real reason. No one else had these marks. Even the smaller identical shoes I had on Ashleigh (identical as in, black, faux leather, from the /same company/).

The only thing I can think is maybe he's been getting up and moving on his own or the little children in the apartment like him and have been playing with him because he's in clothes to their period. The last time I caught EVPs were next to where he was sitting with the others, after all.

Very pondersome...

(Marcus Alexei, who used to be Aiden, who used to be Kazutaka,
who's been with us since 2005 Dec, who was the first of the BJD I collected.)

Nook Color, Quick Office, and Noveling...

Yes. That's right. I'm writing (well, technically right now I'm re-reading with light last edits to the first book) on a Nook Color using the Quick Office App. But I have tried to type on it, with fingers and a stylus, and it's actually not that bad. It's a little slow, but for ideas, quick paragraphs on the go, and editing, it's /wonderful/.

I'm editing a 300+ page novel on it, and it has it's moments of "gah, why are you doing that" which are usually stylus fail. But there's this little scrolling wheel of pages it has on the right side for fast scrolling, page view for medium speed scrolling, find and replace, editing, page numbers, font format, and everything you would want from OFFICE.

It just doesn't read rtf format. SO SAD.

However, it does come with a Powerpoint and Excel verson program so it's a fully functioning suite. It's amazing. And all on a tiny tablet. (Nook Color isn't technically a tablet, and on the larger files I recommend you turn off wifi when editing because it can crash if you're getting an email due to memory restrictions...)

And the coolest thing about it being so small?

It keeps me honest! No task switching to check the internet, because I can only have one thing up on the screen at a time. I'll just jot this down and check it later and keep writing. I'll just spell check it later because the spell check isn't /automatic/ and neither is the grammar thingie, so NO IRRITATING LINES.

WIN. OMG WIN. I can just keep flowing out the words and not get distracted by "ooh, shiny internet research!"

The Quick Office App is $14.99, but it is worth every penny. You get four apps in the suite, and for just the one it's WAAY worth it for all the use I've gotten so far.

Oh, did I mention you can imbed images?!

[squeeful]

Don't be afraid, I haven't been neglecting the blog, I've just been going through a...funk...brought upon a job transition and some life changes, but now I'm trying to focus on the books again, and so far...okay. Trying not to move too fast.

Camp NaNoWriMo is Coming!

In June and August they will be running Camp NaNoWriMo again! Are you ready to write some novels?

I know I've been nonexistent. Honestly, I haven't been writing. I kinda fell into a funk again since I got sick with bronchitis again, and the doctor said there was nothing they could find wrong with why I keep getting ill and not any better. They might have to do another surgery to scrape the dead tissue out of my nose (which was what they did in 2009, which means it didn't take) or they could put me on supressive therapy.

I've also applied for another job, which is taking more than two months to get anywhere at, and also my current job keeps shorting mine and everyone else's checks because they're on a downward spiral toward closing their doors.

It hasn't been so good here lately. Making it, but barely. Which will come first? The 80% mortality rate acute infection? The end all autoimmune complication? Being laid-off again?

Life, as I know it right now, sucks.

So nothing really pleasant to write about here. I Tweet, I Pin, and I try to keep up a cheery front at work and help people where I can because that's all I can do. But at the end of the day I'm so exhausted that I make something to eat for dinner (considering I can't afford and can't get myself to eat breakfast or much lunch since I was sick earlier in the year) crawl in front of the laptop, watch a little Netflix, and work on the blanket or the paranormal research.

Oh, right. I didn't mention I'm still having the visitors. I have caught many more EVPs. There is a little child here and a male.

The clearest voices I've caught are listed here:

"Yes" in reply to my saying it's "good to have friends". You'll here it in the silent part right after I breath in, and before I say "oh, wow". I recommend having earphones, silence, and good volume.

"Hello" (?) caught during an overnight study on why I keep getting woke up all the time. This is 15 minutes into my drowsing off. It's caught on the webcam next to the bed. I am lying still, and it's caught in the same corner of the room the other EVP was. There are no children in my apartment building. The guy who lives next to me has no kids. I think it says Hello, but I'm not sure, I know it is a child's voice.

Not so clear voices come here, and they're usually the male:

"Doors...closet\closed..." (?) is buried up in there in the static. You have to listen for it. But after listening to EVPs (and customers on the phone!) you start to hear vocal quality in static after a while. And you'll hear the evidence of my audio cleaning on the doors part. I could only clear so much. But it's the same vocal sound as...

"???" which was so buried I had to synthesize it to try and get anything. My mom thought he was saying "turn around". I don't know what he was saying, but when it came through it made me go chilly. Which made me think two things. It was a voice, and it was a voice I /don't want to hear/ again.

Anomalies:

Squeaking which you can sort of hear if you've got ears for it. I can hear it because it's one specific place in my apartment that makes that noise and I was perfectly still on the video. Someone was walking in my bedroom at 2-3am and it wasn't me. And right after that? I wake up, look over that direction, stare at the door, and lay back down. So I heard it and reacted before going back to sleep.

Odd female calling, which sounds chirplike. Now, we have birds, but they weren't calling this early, don't sound like this, and I do not have anything in the apartment that makes noises that beep. I have a computer and a cell phone that's electronic. The cellphone is on vibrate. The computer was next to my head. It never made a sound.

And that's it for the first 40 mins of a 3.40 hr session. Yep. That's right. I still have /3 hours/ to go through. These are the things keeping me up at night.

DEAD PEOPLE.

And it isn't that I mind them being in the house. I just wish they would be quiet or pay rent or something.

Aw, Hail.

5554 / 50000 words. 11% done!

Whoo-hoo!

Yeah, I kinda RTO'd again today because I woke up feeling poorly again. I've stayed all day in bed either watching television (Netflix) or writing. I got a lot more accomplished but I totally screwed over the summary I did the other day. My characters are behaving badly.

Not that I'm surprised. They do that once I let them out of the cage.

It's just that I plan for one thing to happen and something else does that's better than what I had planned before. Such as...Sariel and Toulouse already knowing each other. Or suddenly, Rehael wants to not be an angel anymore when I tell him what his next mission is. It makes sense, considering what he's been through the last fourteen years of his life, and he's sorta got something up his sleeve to overthrow the ruling power...but that wasn't what I planned, y'know guys...

One thing I like about writing in this boring room is the porch. It's enclosed, so I can sit on my bed and have the windows open, so unless it's windy like crazy, it can be raining and I can still have the window open. It's nice.

But today, it was raining and hailing and the wind began to blow and I closed the window just in time to see a hail ball the size of a quarter fly at my face. O_O

I've been hit in the head before but /ouch/. That would have smarted...

Oh, btw, anyone on Pinterest? That place is friggin awesome.

Awwwright!

I got all of the second book in the Chasing Series summarized as of last night.

I have started writing it today.

I stole this from a webpage. :D

2912 / 50000 words.

Here we go.

First sentence:

The teacup still rattled in Thomas’s hands as he sat in the office of one Rauren Riverlake the Third, head of the Underground Church.

All I can say at this point is...Thomas is a little more fighty, Rauren is a bitch, and if I go by the summary I'm going to kill some people. Not in the book exactly, but because I swear to God you guys, WHY.
